Kimberley Hunt - Head of Operations
Kimberley Hunt
Head of Operations
It is with great excitement that Kimberley Hunt continues this year as the Head of Operations. Having worked at BASIS Chandler for the past four years as the HOSA, an AP History Teacher, Athletic Director, and finally as the DAP for two years, she has had the opportunity to work closely with the amazing teachers and staff as well as be involved in a number of events including the BASIS Chandler Family Picnic, Homecoming, Geography Bee, History Bee, Academic Decathlon, Fall and Spring drama performances, the Night of the Arts and our Graduation ceremonies.

During the summer of 2012, Ms. Hunt moved to the Phoenix area to be closer to family. Prior to moving and working for the BASIS network, she worked as an Assistant professor at California State University in Sacramento as well as an Archival assistant at the California State Museum. Ms. Hunt has also worked as the director of Admissions at a small arts college as well as the executive director of a branch of Kumon Math & Reading center in Oregon.

Ms. Hunt earned her Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Oregon and a Master of Arts in History from California State University in Sacramento. Her background in history fuels her desire to spend a majority of time traveling as well as reading historical books and watching documentary films.

James Kittredge - Director of Student Affairs
James Kittredge
Director of Upper School Program
Mr. Kittredge is thrilled to continue as BASIS Chandler's Director of Student Affairs. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Drama from Dartmouth College, as well as a Master's Degree in Theatre Studies from the University of Arizona. He subsequently began working for BASIS in 2006. At BASIS Tucson, and later BASIS Tucson North, he taught virtually every class offered by the English department. Four years ago, he transitioned into the role of College Counselor and Senior Project Coordinator, in which he had the privilege of helping seniors prepare to navigate the waters of life after BASIS. That position left him continuously humbled by the sophistication, erudition, and sheer intellectual horsepower that BASIS students are able to achieve.

In addition to his role at BASIS Chandler, Mr. Kittredge is a newly minted BASIS parent. His nine year-old son is entering fourth grade at BASIS Chandler Primary South Campus. His three year-old son still has a couple of years to go. In his free time, Mr. Kittredge loves to cook labor-intensive vegetarian and vegan cuisine of the world. He also reads every book put in front of him and is an avid pop culture fanatic.

He is eternally grateful for the warm welcome he has received from all of the parents, students, and faculty in the BASIS Chandler community and looks forward to being of service in the coming year.
