Early Bird Late Bird

Early Bird
Early Bird is a voluntary extension of the school day available to all students beginning at 7 AM. The Early Bird Program serves those parents/guardians who must drop off their child before school begins. The students should enter the back gate or back door and are supervised in the school cafeteria. The supervisor of the Early Bird Program monitors the safety of the students in the program; however, no organized program of instruction is presented. Students are required to follow all school disciplinary rules during this time. The school reserves the right to exclude students from the Early Bird Program for disruptive behavior or other misconduct. Students are not allowed to leave the designated area without a hall pass before their release time. There is no fee for Early Bird.

Late Bird
Late Bird is offered each school day, Monday through Friday from the time of dismissal to 5:30 PM, except on early release days, which will end at 3:30 PM. LATE BIRD IS NOT OFFERED ON THE FIRST DAY, THE FRIDAY BEFORE WINTER BREAK AND THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL. Students are not permitted to leave campus and return to Late Bird under any circumstances.

Who must pay for Late Bird?
Any student whose parent has registered them for Late Bird (Please see pricing schedule). A payment option must be selected on the Late Bird Registration form prior to the student(s) attending.

Fifteen minutes after dismissal time, a student who has not been picked up is considered a “drop-in” for Late Bird if there has not been a prepayment for the program. There will be a $25 late fee applied to any student who is picked up after the 5:30 PM dismissal time. Any disputes must be noted at the time of sign out. Our dismissal measures are extremely important for the safety of your children.

Sign In/Sign Out
All students attending Late Bird are required to sign in using the computer program virtuclock. It is imperative that all students sign in so in the event of an emergency-the Late Bird Supervisor can account for all attending students. For quick pickup, parents must indicate on the Late Bird registration form the ‘Optional – Fast Pick-Up Authorization.’
